the book time for the uk version, but has a longer diff, are 6.5 0-60, 15.5 or 16s 1/4 mile.I'd expect the JDM to be a little bit quicker with the shorter gearing.

WTF. don't say ummm no. you asked what times were for the quarter mile and 0 to 60 and he told you!

mid to high 6 second 0 to 60 time.

mid 15's in the quarter mile.

its also noted that the JDM silvia's came with shorter gearing than his Euro Spec 200sx, so his assumption is correct that they will be slightly quicker.

Gearing on the euro's is pretty tight. I just recently got my 200SX, but going 160km on the A6 (between landstuhl and miesau) I am pretty deep into my revs in 5th.

I don't know what the final drive on the euro one is but on our JDM ones (I have an 88 Silvia K here in ontaro) it's like a 4.36The SR20s and the KA is like 4.1 or 4.0 so we have major mechanical advantage PLUS a freerer revving engine (since it's belt and smaller rotational mass) so we should keep up decently stock vs. stock in the 0-60 and then lose out in the 1/4so mid 6s and high 15's sounds about right.

(our silvias are also lighter)

Umm....isn't the 3.69 gearset for the R230 diff? If not, 3.69 must make that car a SLUG in stock form.

dunno about R230 but these are R200's.

the book figures are up there^^ 6.5 to 60 and 16ish 1/4m.

It's not particularly sluggy, but I see why you boys get better 1/4 times than us.It also depends on what you want from the car, sprint or top speed.

the gearbox migt be the same, the but final drive isn't

The JDM diff is a fair bit shorter, about 15% shorter than UK.

I'm not sure what the US 240 diff is, I could look in the manual but i can't be arsed.
