Whats the plastic piece above the drive side visor on the roof?

i believe its a connection of wires. or a fuse. not sure but it comes off easily

It is for access to wires. I had a Rearview Mirror with Auto Dimming, Homelink and Compass installed and they are able to use the wires behind this panel.

I got mine on ebay for $140 (US). If you go this route make sure that you get a Gentex mirror (that's how you find them on ebay) with an amber display so that it matches the color of the dash lighting. Also, there was a thread about the installation of these mirrors a long time ago that showed what color wires to use behind the plastic panel under the driver's visor. When all is said and done this is a great project that's relatively risk free and easy to do and, more importantly, results in a really useful addition to your Rogue. Have fun!
