What is Stock HorsePower

Could some people tell me what the stock horsepower of a 91 240sx ka24de is? I would really like to know because i need to prove that my car is faster than my friends. Please post or send an email to [email protected]. Thank you

I believe it is 155hp. But how does that tell you you are faster than your friend. There are different kinds of fast like acceleration and top speed. There are also many variables like car weight, engine condition, manual or automatic, how much power is lost in the drive train (155 hp is at the flywheel/flexplate, not at the wheels), driver skill if manual, and probly many more.

first of all, use the SEARCH button (not to flame, so dont take that personally), and also, hp numbers dont mean that a car is neccasarily faster or not, but the 91 240sx KA24DE is rated at 155hp and 155ft lbs of torque at the crank, and what kind of car does ur friend have, we have plenty of knowledgeable people on this forum, who could settle this without u guys going on the street and risking lives

and also, not TOO sure about that torque figure, but thats defintely within 5 to 10 ft lbs or so, and i hope i didnt come across as bltchin at ya, cuz i wasnt just lettin u know man, hell if u wanna find out for real, take it to a local track or road course or auto X, those are so much fun, and not too expensive either, and then ull have timeslips to prove it!! good luck

I have a few friends cars i need to compare. A 97 cavilier coupe, and a 94 prelude. also ford probes. thanks for info and help

Cavilier- Coupe (2600 lb)- 2.2 L 120 hp/140 lb/ft.or Z24 Coupe (2800 lb)- 2.4 L 150 hp/167 lb/ft., Prelude (2900 lb)-4WS & Si -2.4 L 160 hp/162 lb/ft., S-2.2 L 135 hp/142 lb/ft., VTEC- 2.2 L 190 hp/156 lb/ft., Probe (2700 lb)- 2.0 L 118 hp/127 lb/ft., or GT(2950 lb)- 2.5 L (V6) 164 hp/ 160 lb/ft.

versis your 91 240sx- (2700 lb) 2.4 L 155 hp/ 156 lb/ft.

Try figuring out lbs/ horsepower to get a basic idea of who's faster.

91 240SX has 155 hp @ 5500 rpm and 160 ft.lbs. @ 4400 rpm
