I need to replace the front brake pads on my 2011 M37. Can someone tell me what the factory part number is for the front and rear pads?

I have a new set of factory-Nissan front pads from my previous car, a 96 Maxima. Chances are they won't fit the M37, but it sure would be nice if they did.

Anyways, if someone can me the correct part numbers, I can buy on-line and save some money over going to the dealer.

Also is the 2011 Maxima and 2011 M37 the same regarding brake parts? I would bet that the Nissan parts are cheaper than the Infiniti parts (at least it works that way for Toyota vs Lexus parts).

Thanks

I looked at several on-line (supposedly Infiniti parts suppliers) and came up with three parts numbers for front pads.
Does anyone know what the difference is (maybe one number superseded the other). Once I establish the correct part #, I can search for best price and order a set.
1) D1060JL00J
2) D10601NC0A
3) D10601NC0C

for Rears:
D4060JL00J

You can find part numbers pretty easily here:

INFINITI USA ESTORE PARTS & ACCESSORIES > 2011 M37 Brakes

Front PAD KIT-DISC BRAKE
Part Number: D1060JL00J

Rear PAD KIT-DISC BRAKE
Part Number: D4060JL00J

Use the site I linked to above and plug in your VIN number to be sure you get the right part. The other part numbers you found might be for the Sport version of the car which has larger brakes, or superseded parts like you said.

Thanks for the link. I entered my VIN and the part number came back as D1060JL00J (front pads). But that site seems to have no way to make a purchase (I assume its for Dealer/Retailers and not consumers).

So I went to this site https://www.orderinfinitiparts.com/part ... startrow=1

I entered the part number and it comes up with the part ($61.00) showing several models and years but description for each listing says "w/ sport brakes". I have the Base model, could I still have sport brakes, or do you think the description is wrong?

BTW, in my second post, the first part number I listed, I ended with a "L", now I see it should have been a "J" (the correct part number). Is there a way to go back and edit an earlier post?

I have fixed your post for you. We have a timer typically on how long a post can be edited so people can't go back (if they get mad at someone lol) and edit their posts, etc.

This looks to be the sport brake pad. Non sport would be Part Number: D10601NC0C (front) and D40601MB0A (rear). It is unclear, but these may just be pads, not including the hardware. IF you do a search then there are separate part numbers for front and rear break pad Hardware. Make sure You'll be getting all that you need to replace them. I would recommend going with an aftermarket full kit (like Brekamotive). Pads, rotors, hardware all included for under $200 (on sale currently). Cannot beat it.

I used the link Debonair provided and input my VIN number. It came up with the D1060JL00J part. And that part at the other site (where I'm buying from) shows the part for "w/ Sport Brakes". I have the M37 Base model (not X model). Does the base model come with Sport brakes in some cases?
I guess I'll find out if it is the correct part when it arrives in a few days.

Regarding the hardware and rotors, I doubt I'll need those. The hardware (anti-rattle clips, etc.) are reusable and my rotors are not warped or scored. I'm pretty easy on the brakes.

Maybe by the time the next brake job is due, I'll need hardware and rotors, and then I'll take your advice and get the kit.

Thanks.

well, yes and no.....there really are just two models: base and X. Base then can be with or without sport package. The X is only non-sport (unless it's 2013+ model). My M is a base model, that has the Sport, and sport touring packages.

Thanks for the feedback Mjkkb2.
I didn't buy my M37 new so I don't know what options it came with (other than the obvious like Navigation, exterior lighted door handles and rocker panels, etc.). Is there a website/place I can go, enter the VIN and find out what options are in my car?
I thought I knew, but I had no idea "sport brakes" was an option.

It is puzzling that your vin would return the sport pad. Do u have 18 or 20 wheels?
Also, do you have paddle shifters on the steering wheel?

The part number that came from this site https://www.orderinfinitiparts.com/part ... startrow=1 when I entered my VIN was the D1060JL00J (the "w/ sport brakes") which is what I ordered from http://www.discountinfinitiparts.com/, then I e-mailed the company (after the discussion here) and asked them to confirm I was getting the correct pads (plus I provided the VIN number on their site too) and they sent me an e-mail saying they are sending me D1060-1NC0C which they say is the correct part for my VIN.

I'm not sure what went wrong with the first website's part recommendation - but I'm glad the place I ordered requires the VIN number with the order.
That matches what you said before.

BTW - I do not have the larger wheels or paddle shifters.

I think you should double check those part #s here, not trying to confuse things but it looks like Sport and 20" Wheel/Tire package pads to me:

http://www.infinitipartsonline.com/auto ... rakes-scat

Part # 5

http://www.infinitipartsonline.com/auto ... rakes-scat

Part # 10

Edit: Just realized you posted updated part #s already, nevermind

According to your link, the D...1NC0C is the correct part.
That's nice site, better descriptions, (the pads are listed about $8 higher than at DiscountInfinitParts but the shipping may be lower. You can't tell which is less cost based on parts price alone).
Thanks

Looks like you got it sorted out. Providing a vin number is always a smart thing, even if only to have a claim for a refund if if doesn't fit.

Just to update this thread - for anyone in the future that reads this:

The two links near the top of thread do not provide the correct part numbers (even when entering the vehicle VIN). All the part numbers I was provided where for the "sport" brakes. Although the description doesn't say that.

This website http://www.infinitipartsonline.com/ is the best. They list the parts for both "with sport brakes" and "Without AWD and w/o Sport brakes). Even if you want to buy from somewhere else (price shop) you still need to start with the correct part numbers.

So for the Base M37 (w/o AWD and w/o Sport brakes) the part numbers are (as of mid-2016):
Front Pads -- D1060 1NCoC
Rear Pads -- D40601 MB0A
