Yeah, the clutter really needs to get straightend out and the facts updated.
pretty much all the questions youre gonna ask have already been asked, so search first. a lot of the rb20 parts have proven to be interchangeable with my ka24e manual. i used the ka24e manual speed sensor on my rb20. havent got to test it yet though. i think i still need to adapt the signal from 4cyl to 6cyl. if you search you can find more on this topic.ErnGotti wrote:Hey what about getting the speedometer to work? My RB20 has a speedo cable and the cluster is set to receive Speed Sensor. Is there an adaptor kit? Also the back up lights and neutral safety switch don't work either
haha, nowadays you can get a pre-owned 5 series for less than a fully built 240.Pchabz wrote:hmmn i was sorely mistaken i guess when I planned on switching from bmw's to 240sx's, a full built car will still leave you in the same price range. =(
KA transmission will not bolt up to your RB20 as the bellhousing bolt pattern is differs from the RB and KA. The R32 Crossmember bolts to the chassis just fine.pittbull2403 wrote:can you use a ka tranny with a rb20 engine and will a r32 crossmember just bolt up? im planning on doing the swap
Stock S-chassis rear end will handle 600hp stock. If you bump up to a Z32TT rear end (same as GTR rear ends), you'll notice that the axles are alot more beefier than the stock axles. Axles are usually what gives up on 600 hp S-chassis rear end, the input shaft into the wheel hubs have a tendency to break off.rbs13det wrote:as far as rear ends go whats the best rear end i can go with and how much would i be planning to spend.i got the rb i got the tranny all missing is a rear end . people are telling me a 300zx is fine but i have a 600 hp engine gettin dropped in it and i doubt it can handle that power <IMG NAME="icon" SRC="http://images.nicoclub.com/forums/image ... yumyum.gif" BORDER="0">

with r32 gtr front clip would it be posible to use the gtr swaybar aswell so i dont have to cut the front of the oil pan s13 chassisHxC_Nismo wrote:you have to gind the webbings on the bottom of the pan so it clears the crossmember and also on the axle side of the pan you have to grind the webbing of that as close as you can so it can clear the rack and pinion mounts on the s14 cross member. also you have to cut a section on the front of the pan to clear the front sway bar but i chose not to cause i have a custom front sway bar made.
GTR sway bar are not interchangable with the S-ChassisDirk wrote:

Should be identical to RB25 S1 & SII, except for wiring is different.Bramon wrote:Would an RB25DET Neo swap be the same as an RB25DET? As in, would there be any addition parts you would need to make it fit?
You can do it yourself... SEARCH for a writeup.band1t85 wrote:where or who can calibrate my speedo on s14 rb25det?
