My dad passed away and left behind his 1994 300zx red convertible automatic non turbo. 24k original miles still has original tires on it. it's in mint condition.

Very sorry for your loss, it's never easy to deal with something like this. As for the car its worth what someone is willing to pay for it, real value I would say $7k because it is a vert and automatic which is generally not as sought after as other Z32s, realistically you could probably ask $18k for it, sit on it for a year or two and the right buyer will come along. My question is, if it was your pop's car and was something special (as all Zs are kind of special to the owner) why not keep it?

thanks mate, I may keep it, was just curious if I was sitting on a low mileage gem worth 30k or something. I like the car a lot, actually!

Some Z32s trade hands for $30k+ but realistically unless you have a concourse quality vehicle or one that has $60k in upgrades, getting even close to $30k is not likely, these cars aren't as sought after as the Supras and Rx7s, great for all of us hardcore Z32 guys, bad for anyone trading in these. Lastly (which should've been firstly): Welcome aboard, we hope you stick around, Nico is a great community and we have a few very knowledgeable Z guys here.

Welcome and very sorry to hear about your loss.
I think it could fetch between $12-15k being an original owner car and in mint condition.

Well, if you go by KBB, the value of the vehicle is around $2800 trade-in @ a dealer or around $4600 to sell to a private party...

Please find me original owner, mint, low mileage ZXs for around $4600 and I will gladly buy each and every one of them.

But, this indicate the situation you (and all other potential auto investors) are in: your car has only a couple of things separating it from any other Z car in a similar state of condition, and which like any other car has established values.
Getting someone to pony up $ from even the price estimates given here (from $7K up to a mentioned $30K) means your car has to be from $3K t0 $27K more special than any other vert on the market in relatively similar state in order to earn that extra $. Here in Washington State verts and Z32's are not uncommon at all and for sale all the time, and I've seen several in the condition you claim- they ALL sell closer to that KBB value than the loftier prices people will throw out there, or they sit for months and months and months without sale.
So really your best bet is to keep her and enjoy her lightly and be sure ALL maintenance is done, which surely has not been the case, and hope someone sees it along the way and is pushed to offer you a decent price above the values that all of the others must abide by.

sorry about your dad.

I really think the car would have more value than say 16 -20K, it is what ever some one is willing to pay and also what you are willing to accept.

I really hope you keep this car, you may regret it later on in life if you sell it.

Don't do it, keep it and pass it down...
