How about "fun" ?

To me, the 240sx chassis with the 280zx motor sounds very intriquing, but I'm not sure if I see the beauty of a 240z nose on a 240sx? Can someone do a photoshop rendition and post it?

They did a front end conversion on an S13 hatch in Japan with a 240z front end.

It looks damn sexy in my opinion.

I'm almost done with mine but its taken nearly 6 months to finish it.:D (I prefer all show and go):D

I just can't decide on which section of cardomain to post the details. (240z/280zx/180sx/240sx?? )

I`m just retarded, get it? :D Well the nose is S30 and the body is 180Sx so I would call it an S30SX

the only thing about that 180 with the S30 front is that was a kit. They made them for like $3500 or so. You're actually doing it the old fashion way and im really anxious to see how it turned out. BTW, how are you getting by sticking an older engine in a newer car? I thought you couldnt do that....or are you taking it to one of THOSE kinda inspectors....;)

Aha, I heard you would be a good person to speak with about "frankenstein-like" projects like mine.

So if the 240z is S30 an the 280zx is S130 what are the 260z and 280z, S30 as well?

They don't inspect my car at all here in Florida.I go to the tax collector, drop some cash and walk out with my paperwork and a tag.

I'm running carbs on it til I get my megasquirt unit and a few other parts,"heh heh".

Biggest pisser was the oil pan though, everything else is pretty much bolt/weld/fiberglass except the front bumper.

I have to keep the 240sx front bumper for legal reasons so I'm still deciding on that.(aftermarket bumper and sawz-all or custom fiberglass bumper cover)

S30= 240,260 and 280ZS130=280ZXZ31=300ZX

The L fits with a Skyline crosmember, custom motor mounts, front sump oil pan, a hybrid RB/L transmission and an RB or CA automatic trans crossmember flipped around backwards but the hood don`t close without a blister. That`s how I got one in my Silvia, wanna know how to fit an FJ in there?;)

I got mine in with the stock ka crossmember and custom mounts/brackets and it rests just slightly higher than the k-block did.(At the moment :-)

I'm also using a custom bracket for the 280zx transmission I'm using and the stock 240sx m/t driveshaft.

Unfortunately I don't have access to used skyline parts, otherwise I probably would have went that route.

(I'm playing shadetree mechanic on this one)

You need a dead sexy one-off EFI manifold I got from this dude in Hokkaido? 12 injector bungs and a flange for a Q45 throttle.

While I find that to be a little disturbing here it is.

Just out of curiosity does anyone think that I should make molds for the kit I'm putting together, you know in case some a-hole hits my car or if I run into another deer or simply just so I can offer a new kind of frontend conversion for anyone else with a 240sx?
