What is that little black plastic square on the back of my car? I don't like it. Would it hurt to have it painted the color of the car?

We didn't get the rear fog lamp in the US, it was only in the Japanese and Euro bound models - I guess Nissan didn't think we got enough fog in the US to warrant having it so they put that black plug in place of the functioning light. I know if I had a 370Z I'd be wiring one up, and with all my driving in the Blue Ridge and Smoky Mountains it would actually be serving a purpose.

The 370Z is pre-wired for it if you want to install it, you can buy one from Courtesy Parts or The Z Store.

EDIT: The Z Store says the US model is NOT wired for the install but Courtesy Parts says that the US model is pre-wired for it. Time to do some checking around.

How strange. I guess that is so cars behind you can see you in the fog?

I wish somebody would make some kind of cover for it....or a red light that would go back and forth like K.I.T.T. j/k.

I hate to say it but the 370 has really grown on me in the past couple of weeks...not sure why. It's taken a while but I think I'm finally over those crazy boomerang lights and the fangs.

But I'd still go with yellow.

My first couple of months was "WTF was Nissan smoking", next few months were "Wow..not so bad" After that it was "Babe can I please trade my G for a Z? I gotta have it".



Don't know why it took me so long for it to grow on me. I park next to 2 Carreras up here and I swear my car is better looking and I'm not the only one that thinks so.

Ok, so I got behind a highly modded Z yesterday. It was white and he had hooked up that light to be a 4th brake light. it was kinda cool. I got up next to him and the light in front of us turned. I wanted to see his rims and everything. He flew on under the light.

Car looked great. Would have loved to have gotten a chance to see it close up and still. He needed to de-badge his 370Z emblem though.
