what is it about the 240sx?

i've had three s14's and they fire up every single time but sluggish. old engines, shop rebuilds, you name it. even with brand new alternators and starters the engines i've had always have sluggish cranks. but you can switch the car off and turn the key right back and most times fires like a brand new car.

Mine has taken a few cranks to actually start a few times, but it's not usually sluggish. I use a battery with way more cold cranking amps then required though.
