I have a 2005 Pathfinder that I just had the 15,000 mile service done to the tune of $240. I got home and looked under the hood and there is still dust all over the engine. Nothing on the throttle body has been touched, the air cleaner box was not touched, they charged me for windshield washer fluid that I had just filled. Does anyone know what all is required for this servicing?

Welcome aboard, Bruce!

Replace Engine Oil & Filter (up to 5 quarts) Replace Engine Air Filter Lubricate Chassis Replace Fuel Filter Clean Throttle Bore Inspect Fluids & Top-Off as Needed: Brake, Clutch, Differential, Transfer Case, Power Steering, Transmission, Engine Coolant, Windshield Washer Inspect the Following: All Exterior Lights, Engine Coolant Protection Level, Engine Drive Belts, Radiator & Cooling System Hoses, Tire Pressure & Condition, Battery Condition, Wiper Blades, Charging System Check

Certainly not worth $240.

I'd have a chat with the Service Advisor.

Thanks for the response. I am not a regular poster, but I have contributed in the past with my 93 Pathfinder and 97 Q. Both of which I have traded in with gobs and gobs of miles on them (265K and 195K).

I am going to talk to the service manager tomorrow. I just went out to look under the hood again. Throttle body has not been touched. Radiator cap or coolant reservior cap has not been touched. Brake fluid is below max. Windshield washer fluid is not full to the neck. Even the transmission dipstick handle is dusty. I am not one to complain about things in general, since my job is in a "complaints" department in aviation. I dont know what I will walk away with, but I think that it should be at least half of my money back. Needless to say, I'm not real happy.I feel like I just blew $240 on about $50 worth of work.

Well-said, sir.

Pity the svc department that doesn't send you home happy, we're pretty fond of referring people to Corporate.

We could always use some assistance in the Pathy forum... (hint hint)
