Day 1. Fiddled with Distributor, put back together, then car runs like crap, cant idle, diesDay 2. Didn't touch anything, idled better, doesn't die, but funky smellDay 4. Didn't touch anything, idles a lot better, barely stutters anymore, still funky smell.Day 4. After it i ran it, i unplugged maf, re ran and idled at 1500 but consistant. Repluged ran at 900 (also consistant)Day 4. Plugs smell like gas as i ran it just a few minutes ago. Also when the fuel pump is cut off the car still runs at idle (idles at 1300 with pump shut off) , only when i give it gas dies it die. Im thinking theres something up with the injectors maybe, and possibly the pump.

I know this is long but its all the info i need to tell you.

Thanks

You left out one posibly very important bit of information:

Why did you fiddle with the distributor to begin with?

Ah yes, why did i. Well what i did is i took of the distributor cap to check the timing (rotor is pointed towards #1 at TDC) and i don't know all that much about cars so i also took off the rotor just to see what the inside of the dist. looks like (curiosity is a b*tch). Then i bolted it all back together and wham, it sucks

Side Note. On start up the idle is ****y for first few seconds as it fluctuates between 300 and 800rpm, then settles at around 900 to 1000

Was the car running perfectly fine before you touched it?

First, since you fiddled with the distributor, check your coil/spark plug wire connections and ignition timing using the FSM procedure.

Also inspect your fuel rail for injector leaks. Reconnect your fuel pump and unbolt the fuel rail from the intake manifold, leaving everything else bolted in and/or connected. Put the ignition switch in the "On" position, but don't start the car. Look at the bottom of the rail and check if fuel is leaking from under any of the injector pods.

If there's a leak, replace the o-rings on the leaking injector/s.

well all the connections are good (checked and re-checked them), and the car did run better than this but power was never up to normal. Yeah i think i am gonna test for leaks, i was looking that up last night, its kind of funny when i turn the fuel pump off, and the car actually idles better (crisp, not stuttering at all).
