What the crap is up with the Volt's headlights?

Dimples on the projectors?
Compared to my Miaterrr:

(which btw, has the most badass headlight restoration ever done :) )

This, however is question-free and very, very right.

Saw a Volt on the road today for the first time, looks quite big.

A lot bigger than the Leaf, CR-Z, and Prius.

Maybe the dimples are a tribute to Tiger Woods, and golf balls, or something.

If it were a tribute to Tiger Woods, I would think there would be a dent from where the angry ex-missus whacked it with a golf club....

Without a closeup look, I'm wondering if GM determined they're more aerodynamically efficient, and perhaps a few of those dimples might be mini vents to help prevent the lens from fogging up.

the dimples have slightly less material in those areas, and are therefore... weight savings!!!

or they look cool? Or help distribute the light better?

Since its behind the headlight cover, I doubt its anything aerodynamic.

My guess is light distribution and even more importantly, it makes it look like a Transformer.

Yeah.

I need to find a Volt at night, and turn its lights on. So no one is aware of this application anywhere other than the Volt?

Guys... relax. These cars were simply purchased without the ProActiv package. Totally worth the extra $200 IMHO. Even Jessica Simpson thinks so.

That '63 Vette is orgasmic. I normall put them in the same "restostock or GTFO" category as the '57 T-Bird, but that ish is so clean I almost want to make an exception.

The bumps on the headlight lens more accurately divert light forward. The effective lighting area is sharper with more profound edges.

The Shinari headlamps look like something they pulled out of Tony Stark's chest.

The Miatas didn't come with it...

It'd be tough to polish that s*** out. It is ON the projector itself, not on the headlight lens cover.

He thinks we're talking about lens blemishes because of the glare on that first picture. Haha.
