Dude, Cody, I need to talk to you. I was wondering if you would be selling your car anytime soon, and how much. You would be able to buy another car I bet. It's auto, but it's a nice s14.

I think I might be needing another car soon. My mom is getting sick of my car problems. We'll see how things play out, but I just need to know how much you'd be willing to sell yours for.

Well, get on AIM tonight. You could keep your system. I don't need it. There are a lot of other 240's available on 240sxforums.com. Sticks of course.

OR you could buy that guy's 240 in the buy/sell section who already has an SR swap done.

i've not had the system tested in my 240 as iI have just transfered it into the car, but here is what i have so far.

Optima red topAlpine 7863 source unitCoustic XM3e crossover 3 in, 4 outSound Quest 1.0 farad cap1 Crossfire 602cfa 300w/2 @2ohms stereo1 Crossfire 404cfa 100w/4 @2ohms stereo2 Boston Acoustic RX series 6x9's(soon to be replaced with NX97's)2 Boston Acoustic RX series 6.5's(soon to be replaced with NX57's)2 Soundstream SPL dual 4ohm voice coil 12's

Before my 240 this system was in a '91 Beretta with a Coustic amp220 in place of the 602. In that car it had a best run of 136.2db's. The Coustic only produced 360 total watts compared to the 602's 600 watts. I'm interested to see how it does in this car on the bigger sub amp.

Not to custom yet, I've made slanted racks for the amps and intend to ditch my spare for the space(and it makes the worst noise ever when I turn up the system). I drive an s13 and have ditched the 4x6's in favor of the 6x9's for front and 6.25's in the rear. Other than that i've not had the car long enough to see what I want to do with it yet.

Just wondering how you're getting 3600w out of a stock alt.

And wondering how it is that you have 4 w6v2's wired down to 1ohm, yet you're using 3 1000/1's on them?

Also, a 6w0 is a subwoofer, not a midrange.

Last, but not least, where are the pics of this mess?

I might have posted my system in another thread... but here it is

Headunit: Clarion ProAudio DRX9675z Connected to the ampifiers with Streetwires ZN2.0 (aka Zero Noise)

Highs/mids amplifier: Precision Power PC4800 bridged to 2 channel 400w X 2 @ 4 ohms. Hooked up with a fused 4 awg Streetwires wire.

Front stage: Infinity Kappa Perfect 6.1 components with custom fabricated mounts and baffle. In front doors. Crossover network resides in the trunk and connected to the speakers with 2 pairs of 14awg shielded in-wall cable (Straightwire Waveguide).

Rear Fill: NONE

Subwoofer Amplifier: JBL BP1200.1 Hooked up with a fused 4 awg Streetwires cable and a 1 farad Streetwires capacitor.

Subwoofers: 2 Eclipse Aluminum 8812.6 (12's) hooked up with 10 awg Streetwires as speaker cable.

Custom boxes formed into the sides of the trunk each 1.2 cubic feet. Sub amp mounted stealth on the back of the left side sub box. Highs and mids amp mounted to false wall in the back of the trunk high and out of the way. This leaves functional space for my trunk area. It also leaves a small compartment for whatever right behind the pass-thru. I have used Dynamat Extreme for the trunk, and the doors. When I have time, I plan on Dynamatting the roof and deadening the doors a little more to take advantage of the low frequency ability of the 6.5's in the doors.

Outlaw dB drag: 146.2 dB

:D I will post pictures as soon as I can finish the trunk floor, and I would love to have it done by the meet in March.

Glad I'm not the only one who sees through this guy's smoke screen BS.

I'm not THAT familiar with Jl amps, but I couldn't find anything about a 200/1 and the closest that was on jl's site was the 250/1 which is class d.

Then there's the little problem of powering both the pair of 6w0's and the two sets of comps. If there is a 200/1, it would logically be used on the w0's and that would leave the HU to power both sets of comps.

I'm not surprised that he hasn't replied or show pics yet.

Oh, and what the hell is "dynomated"?

Does he mean RTA'd? Does he mean its been metered?

Oh, and there's no way in hell he could do 159db with that setup, unless it was on a crappy meter that hadn't been calibrated in years.

AAAhHHHHHh

Yea, i know what dynomat is. I thought he meant some sort of RTA device. The fact that he left a T out, "Dynomatted" threw me off I think.

Oh well, I bet he doesn't even have that.

Nebraska, before you make another outlandish claim...you need to produce pics of all this stuff crammed in your car and a score sheet or internet site from db drag with your name and score.
