Having charging problems and replaced the alt, starter battery, computer, ign. switch. I noticed the white/gn wire looks like it got hot and according to the manual, it goes to the EFC. what is this and where is it located? I've pretty much tore everything apart short of taking the whole dash out. I'd kinda like to know what direction I should be looking in. Thanks, Mike

I think the EFC main relay is near the battery, on the side wall.

Thanks for the info, what exactly does EFC mean? My manual ($30) doesn't tell nothing about it. I think I got the charging problem figured out, now the fuel gauge ain't working. I prolly jarred something loose when I had the instrument panel out. But I can make a trip with the H/L on and the radio blasting without being stranded ;) I need a tach.

I think it's Electronic Fuel Control.... probably a fuel pump relay (guessing here)

Thanks Ozzie for helping me out.
It turns out my ign. switch was bad. plus a blown fuse that I overlooked  was the problem, so I hope. Damn, It feels good to get my little truck back on the road again. :dblthumb: With gas heading towards $5 a gallon, gotta cut every corner one can.
Anybody got a pedal assembly and chain for one of these? :rotfl
