I was having fun with the 240 today when I hit a pump that caused the muffler to fall off, I noticed the pipe was rotted to hell. So I want a nice 2.5" system. And for financial reason I don't want to spend over $200 for it. I was wondering if dynomax makes one for the 240, I got their setup for my 300zx for $150. I wonder how long it will be till the cops tell me I have to get it fixed. BTW links would be much appreciated to your suggested exhaust systems.

your not going to find any catback for $200. you will be lucky to get a decent muffler for that. if i were you i would just buy a muffler and have a muffler shop weld mandrel bent piping from your cat back. you can get this done a lot cheaper than a catback and it is the same thing.

how loud do you want it? Xcelerator makes good quality cheap mufflers, they are strait through but are pretty quiet. You could also look into the flowmaster import series, they have a very nice sound but are a little more expensive. Both of these are built for performance and practicality only, no shiny coffe can crap you would see on a civic.

Sixxdeuce, I dont mind how loud or quiet it will be as long as I can find one for a good price. And Daniel240 the only reason I figure I could get a catback for $200, is cause I got the dynomax one for my 88 300zx for $150 at advanced auto. As far as having it custom done, I don't think any of the shops around me have mandrel bending machines.

most muffler shops have mandrel bending machines. and if you can get a catback for $150, then it is crap, and not worth the $. any decent catback for our cars is at least $500 - $600. if i were you i would talk to some muffler shops, i think that would be your cheapest and best route.

Just dont go too cheap on the muffler, you dont want it to fall apart on you in a couple months

Hey man if you want you can spend 300 for a good exhaust system, just look around i found a hella good price. I got a apexi n1 muffler for 200 and i found a shop that did the pipes for 100. Sounds great, looks great, the price is great. I've had mine for a while now and im very happy.

I wnt onto Ebay, bought a REALLY nice sounding muffler for 50-75 bux, then i took the muffler down to the "magic" muffler shop, tey put that on to 2.5" piping fo the cat back, i would say to get a high flow cat with it too.
