Strange that I came across this old post in the middle of inquiring about a Cosmoracing intake.beancooker wrote:Cosmo Racing, place out of Canada. I couldn't justify spending the $240 on an Injen. $65+ shipping
They're the same. CosmoRacing happens to deal on ebay as well as from their website and warehouse in Montreal, QC.lowblocks wrote:what the diffrence between cosmo ram and the one on ebay ?
Ghetto, but it looks professional, and I spend about 75% less than most people do on intakes.. and of course i'm gonna have to tune it... thats why I have the VAFC II (<-j/k) didnt you read what I put on the other thread!?With the 3.5 swap, I definately need this MAF and the tuning.Doing this set-up will actuallyjmeister wrote:^Ghetto^ Better be ready to tune with that setup. Should be a nice bump in timing too.
I'm running an ebay midpipe with pop-charger and K&N. Will probably convert to MAP based later this year
I got the WAI, and was not happy with it, so I converted it to the SRI. Works okay, but if I could go back, I'd get the Frankencar with Apexi filter.NewfoundlandDude wrote:

I've been e-mailing these guys for about a week now, as I live in Canada, and can get a pretty good deal on shipping. Beancooker, are you running their SRI or their CAI? How do you like their intakes, nice sound and performance?
Also I've been speaking with Lynn at Warpspeed Performance regarding their aluminized Y-Pipes. They have had some shipping issues to Canada as the postal service now only allows 42" packages, to cross the border, and the Y-pipe shipping packages are 48" long. Have you scoped out anyone in Canada turning out decent y-pipes?

i now have the cattman (place racing) intake and it stomps the living poop out of the injen.jltibbs wrote:injen, 2.5 yrs and still going strong. only one filter change (original injen filter got trashed, bought another injen filter)
i understand that. like i mentioned before, i had the injen for 2 and a half years. truth be known, the injen is only a long ram intake (how you like that one noah?!?). it goes to a lower part of the engine bay which is not much cooler than where the short ram would sit. the cattman physically goes into the fender, completely free from the heat of the engine. IMO, the performance difference is very noticeable.blackmax23 wrote:Yeah, I was looking into the Place Racing intake, but Injen's customer service and quality reputation was so good that I had to go with it and I could not be happier.
OMFG, the truth comes out!!!jltibbs wrote:

but that aside, injoy your injen.
No need to move anything for an Injen. Here is the instructions for a 5th-gen (should be similar to 4th gens as well): http://www.nicoclub.com/articles.php?id=157916d3v0 wrote:Is it pretty hard to put in the INJEN CAI? Don't you have to move the battery? and like reconfigure some wires and find a place to mount them?
