Hey guys. I'm kinda new to the sr and ive decided that im going to do a gt2871r turbo upgrade on my s13 sr by next summer. i want to be boosting somewhere between 17 and 20 psi. I think i want to run bigger than 555cc injectors (maybe like 650) but i dont know exactly what size and dont even know where to begin when it comes to brands. what sizes and brands are you guys running? any input is appreciated. sorry for the extremely ambiguous question. Thanks in advance!

i was wondering the same thing, about what size of injectors to use for a gt2871 .64 that will hopefully put 375 to the ground.

I put 368hp to the ground with .64 gt2871r

I have nismo 740cc injectors, duty cycle to 80% is common.

if you are going for value, consider going with DeatschWerks injectors with like 810cc for the price of nismo 740cc

I personally prefer nismo

Just wondering, do you have any issues with running rich with the 740cc's?

I have nismo 555 injectors on my 2871r. I think you should be alright with 550 but you may want to just go ahead and get 740 just to be safe.

Running rich doesnt apply to how big your injector size is. The number of cc is just a flow number. How rich or lean all depends on your tune.

If you have an air fuel controller or an ecu tune there is no reason why you would other than injector failure on an individual basis.

Get 740's, any injector less than 1000cc's (at 1000cc's the car will no longer idle like stock) with a good tune will idle just fine, and perform just as well as a 550cc 660cc etc... assuming they are not to small for your application.

You could run a stock T25 with 740cc injectors if you had a tune for it.

Yeah, thats what i figured. Just wanted to be sure though. I was looking into getting my ecu retuned by enthalpy. Ive heard good things about them.

Good choice, their rom tunes are incredibly robust. Before I switched to a haltech E8 I was running a enthlapy rom tune for z32 maf, gt2871r .64, stock cams, dwerks 740cc injectors. My setup, however, was a S15 t28, bc264 step 2 cams, dwers 740cc injectors. The car ran so well that for a little while I considered selling the haltech.

Geno: What kind of numbers were you running on that rom tune? Sound like what I'm planning
