What if cars took a picture of a person who came very close?

Here is what I am thinking. Actually read about this in a different forum. What if cars had special parabolic cameras and took a picture of a person/subject that came real close to it? This would keep and vandals and thief away from cars. Good idea?

I like it - It's already available, however.

I'm in the middle of testing a dash camera system from Blackbox Guard that can capture front and rear views (wide angle) even while the car is parked. Should have an article for you guys soon!

Would you post the article here too so we don't miss it? Looking forward to it. You said captures wide angle. Can it capture the sides too? what happens to pictures when they are taken? sends to your phone?

Lots of them have an Android or iPhone interface (same as a GoPro).
