I know it's not really related... and yeah I like to show off a little bit... But we are all car guys no matter what and I feel like this group of guys here, is the only group I really know anyone from on NICO.

Since I sold my CA240, I got back into competitive racing. I had been karting when I was a kid but went the street car route when I could afford to build something of my own... I owned SR's, CA's RB's KA's and had a ton of fun with them and MAY or MAY NOT have something in the works to be unveiled soon :ohno: :woot:

But anyway, I got back into where my heart was... Oval Racing.

The video below was a brand new car, we were having some issues getting it up to speed trying to work the bugs out of it but had some decent speed. Finally got the car worked out for the feature race which is this video but I had to start in the back and 6 laps in got caught up in a couple of idiots racing for 9th that wrecked each other and I got shoved into it by the guy behind me which you can see in my rear view mirror in the video at the time of the incident.

And to anyone who says oval racing is just go fast turn left... watch the hands, and listen to the throttle... 550hp on a 7" tire at 140mph... It gets interesting...

ENJOY!

This is a picture of the damage after the little incident on lap 6... Afterwards I felt like I had a parachute attached to the back from all the air getting under the car. Unfortunately as you might hear on the last restart... I missed a shift and lost a lot of ground on the restart. When I hit the guy in front of me it was enough of an impact to jar the hydraulic throw-out bearing and when I went to shift to 3rd on the restart it blew the seal right out of the bearing and I missed the shift. I JAMMED it in gear (we have straight cut gears) and finished the race 10th.

The damage cost $180 to fix... Gotta love it haha! we banged the radiator shrouding back straight, replaced the bumper bar which is just 1 3/4" rollbar bent into shape, and straightened the sway bar. Then put the new half of the bumper cover on and straightened the fender to fit. :woot:

May be taking the car to New Jersey for the Turkey Derby at Wall Stadium Speedway this weekend depending on the weather. Should be fun
