what i've been dealing with for the last three days

been working for the last 3 days straight, on mandatory OT due to a little fire. working for horry county fire rescue,myrtle beach SC. we ended up getting a small 150 acre woods fire on earth day. by the next day it had grown to 8000 acres. by saturday morning it is right at 20,000 acres. as of now we had lost or had to write off 100 house that were totaled and probably 150 that were damaged. and crews are still working out there but we now have it about 85% contained. was sent home for 24 hrs of rest after working for 72 hrs straight. Ugh. That sucks for all involved. Glad to see your getting some extra hours in. At least when all is done we can find you a mod or two for you on your car!

Thats some blaze. Glad to see you have it contained, and everyone should be thankful theres people like you willing to risk your life to fight fires like that...I would, but I have a bum knee, uhh, yeah thats it.

sure bum knee. dont worry after 15 years of doing this ive got a knee brace i can lend you. still have problems with mine. not forgeting about the two torn shoulders a few years back. and yes it might be what your smelling up there the wind for the last two days has been to the north west , but its pretty much contained. now all we need is a hurricane to come thru to give us enough rain to finally put it all out.
