Well, I decided to pull my bedliner and start prepping for body and paint work. I was greeted by the typical rubbed off paint and rust, but it wasn't as bad as many.

So, after washing it thoroughly and breaking out the sandpaper and wire brush, I had all the rust out and started shooting paint. I'm going to go for the rattle can job but I think I've done my research and it should look pretty good when I'm done with color sanding and glazing. I have the bed done first, but I'm not going to bother with wet sanding that.

The bed rails and bed came out pretty well if I do say so myself. It will do for a few more weeks till I can get the body work done and shoot the whole truck.

In my down time waiting for paint drying, I finished the sub box and installed the amp under the driver's seat. I know they are cheap components but it sounds pretty good and didn't cost me more than the truck is worth to put in :) I don't have pics of the final look, I wrapped them in grey auto carpeting. Looks pretty good and doesn't take up much of the storage room I needed in the back. Some of you might think the sub box looks pretty small, but its actually a sealed box with a volume tuned to that sub's stats. It occupies most of the inside of the interior truck wall.

I've got a roll pan on order, need to get that installed before painting starts. Then comes window tint and hopefully some new wheels. Btw, anyone in North-East Texas need a chrome rear bumper and extended cab nissan bed liner? They are in pretty good shape and if you pick em up I'll give you a great deal.

The inside of your bed is way cleaner than the one on my '97 was before I scrapped it and built the flatbed.

Finally got a picture of it wrapped and installed. On the passenger side, I'm going to make a door under the 6x9 that will conceal my emergency jack and tools, that will sit flush with the side of the truck. I wanted to keep as much space as I could as I often tote around stuff in the back. Eventually I may redo the carpet if I can find a closer match. Next on the list is to wire up some tweeters for the a pillars.
