Yeah try another dealership
I agree
Now before I get into anything else I have to say taking an Infiniti to a Nissan dealer for warranty work is not going to work.
Although I cannot/will not try to diagnose an airbag related concern over the internet as there are many liability issues with this type of thing. If you want to contact me off the forum I can share my thoughts on your specific case.
I understand your frustrations with the car given the issues you have had. In some instances selling it may be the only way to resolve your negative feelings towards the car. For those of us who are not willing to toss away 10 grand in a loss out of spite for an inanimate object, there may be a few things you can do.
Although I know only very little about your struggles with this vehicle putting a call to Infiniti (great work EXceptional) may get you the location of a specialist who can evaluate the condition of you passenger seat Occupant Classification System. This is a relatively new system and (when working correctly) can tell the air bag control unit the weight and positioning of the "load" on the passenger seat. If there is a fault detected in the system there are two different diagnostic levels that will hold fault codes in the airbag system.
If the OCS zero set was performed after the seat bottom was replaced and there are no fault codes than the light is not that much of an issue. What would concern me would be the flashing of the air bag indicator light in the gauge cluster. That will indicate a fault is stored in the AB control units memory.
