So, let's hear it. Who or what have yall been pulling up to the light with. Me-- A 00 civic SI with turbo set at 8psi..........he beat me not by alot but enough to know that I shouldnt do that again. The dude actually was surprised that I hung with him through 3rd,we stopped afterwards and he was almost regreting buying the civic said something like "imagine if I turbo'd your car".
I also got a hold of a 96-97 integra ls or gs with some mods and raped it off the line and beat it by at least 2 cars.:ylsuper

Not a big fan of street racing... but my only two recent stories involved Neons. The first one was "pimped out".. Big 4" exhaust tip... 17" (or bigger) chrome rims, sports stripe, silver tinted windows...etc., etc. Anyway, I was minding my own business at the stop light, he pulls up next to me and revs, i didn't bother to look over. The light turned green and he took off with all 130+ hp and I just had to do it. I was behind him for about half of 1st gear, long enough to see the rear-end, then I stepped on it. I only went long enough to let him know he was shut down. and he turned off later down the road.
The other neon I raced recently was plain forest green, nothing at all beyond stock... or so I thought. He was in front of me at a stop light and let it rip when it turned green. I thought I might show him up a little, and the second he saw me pulling up on him.. I guess he REALLY let it open up... LOUD and FAST!! All I saw was black exhaust and a green Neon pulling away faster than a Porsche! I caught up later at a stop light, and saw a completely stripped interior, and class numbers written in soap on his windows. I just put my hands in the air and admitted defeat! Just goes to show... sleepers are the s***! He didn't even have a shiny chrome exhaust, after-market wheels, not a damn thing, just a plain old Neon.
