it looks like a "t" plug that sits on your vavle stem inside the tire..it sends out radio signals to a sensor in that car and alerts you if u have a drop in air pressure....

I wanted to save a couple bucks when I bought my new rims so I just had the tpms switched from my stockers. in the fall when I buy snow tires for the stock rims I'll be buying an aftermarket tpms and "learning" them.

I scored a set of 4 TPMS from a guy who wanted to get rid of them. Bought them for $50 for all four sensors! they're off of an 08 Nissan Tundra. ! $15 for the dealership to re-learn them too

Wait till the rpm idles below 1000. Then your fine. Anything before that, and you will get valve tapping down the road...

Anyone know of a way to re-register the sensors without a Consult III?

Im having the stocker TPMS put on my new wheels.

I thought about just not having them put on at all, as I could have ordered the new wheels and tires already mounted and balanced and ready to just put on the car, but I don't want to deal with the light issue and as much driving as I do, I may need to have a warning given to me from time to time. Especially in the Arizona heat! It is death on tires in the Summer time.
