250$ for evertything honed, bored, balanced, cleaned. I also had the head o-ringed? <--- Suggested by the machinest. This was done by a guy I know so it was discounted. Plus the old man has over 30 years of experience with turbo chevy's and such so I trust his abilities and suggestions.

$150 for disassembling and cleaning the head, milling it true, and installing the new stem seals, guides, springs, retainers, and new valves I got. With parts I think it was about $337, but that was for basically a brand new head. There are no old parts left in there.

Tack on a few more dollars and that sounds about right for me for similar services. It all depends on the shop doing the work and their desire to discount their work as well.

thanks all, some ideas i haven't thought of.

Ill be doing my own disassemble and reassemble, plus i got a shop foreman who builds chevy small blocks. so i figure he can lend a piece of advice or two if i get stuck. Ill be useing mostly OE parts, this isnt going to be some 400+ build. Im aiming for upper 200's, good enough to school most local cars.

Cause once im done with that, im gonna start working on building my suspension even further then my AGX, Pro-kit combo.

Again, thanks! great advice 'round these parts 99% of the time
