It is not clear if a drunk driver who got 56 tickets in just 13 minutes was trying to get away from police, or set a new world record for the most driving offences in the fastest possible time.

The 21-year-old was followed by police on his crazy drive through the upstate New York town of Greece, where he reached speeds of 111mph.

But in the 13 minutes it took the cops to stop him, it seems like Joshua Bracci was doing everything he could to get more tickets.

He speeded, hit parked cars and tried several ways to lose the officers, including turning his lights off as he drove in the dark, and reversing into a patrol car. If officers hadn't managed to trap him in a dead end street, he would probably have parked illegally too.

We're not sure how many different types of ticket cops in the US are able to issue, but with 56 Bracci can't have been far from getting the full set.

Yeah, I always thought it was offenses that you could rack up. Otherwise, he'd be tried for each of those separately, right?

His lawyers will get all the charges dropped except for one reckless driving citation.

Well driving drunk in NJ is a 6 month loss of license (probably similar in NY)and with that many tickets he probably will get his license suspended and his insurance points are probably SO high that he will NEVER be able to afford to drive. That really sucks!

I hope he moves to an area were public transportation is available

Isn't there a number of points that you can hit that is immediate Revoke of your license?

A bud of mine had 19 DMV points and he was still driving. He paid out the as* but he was driving. But I am sure there is a limit probably around the 20s. Also I think every moving violation is more then 1 point so this guy has at least 100+ points. Also he need to go to court and face legal action and usually there are bargaining agreements so I can't see him getting ALL of them. Regardless he is soo screwed. In order to pay for this entire thing he could be looking at $40k, maybe more so he need to get a job and find a way to get there.

12 pts and your license is suspended in ny... but thats not till they "hit" your license, which isnt until you are convicted...

IIRC the cops in Sweden know exactly who the Ghostrider guy is. They just have some funky law that they can't charge you for vehicle infractions unless they catch you in the act. And since they can't catch him...

You did the next night. We walked for 2 or 3 miles (I can't remember exactly)... hitch hiking in like 80 MPH wind... checking out the dumpsters behind tire shops to see if we could find anything that would fit Torry's car.

Then we called a cab.
