you might have to wait longer than 66 minutes. It is still early on the west coast, where alot of the members seem to hail from.

Well, I would suggest first of all to not drive the car at all. Secondly, pop your head under the hood and see if you have any pipes or fittings that are loose. Try looking and seeing if any of your gaskets are blown. Then you can try removing the intake and seeing if you can spin the compressor wheel by hand. May as well do that in the meantime while you are waiting for answers. I am not a turbo guy, so that is the best I can do.

check the actuator arm, i did that once with my RB after a highway run, the tiny little clip fried off the actuator arm or whatever and poped off the bracket. you'll have to remove the heat shield if you have one, and be sure to let the engine cool first. just pop the arm back into the hole and and it should be good, in the meantime, ask a buddy to see his extra turbo, and steal the clip.

Although I'm sure the karma involved in this will come back and probably kill your motor for something like this, but you can also go to an autoparts store and get a replacement e-clip.

you're right about killin the motor, but the Yellow Hat stores and AutoBacs dont always have e-clips layin around, hell the dont even have small t-connectors sometimes, a quick fix is to dig on your floorboar for some extra speakerwire u may have laying around and twist it around the arm tight enough

If you have a stock turbo thats internally gated, the exhaust gas would just go right back into your exhaust if its stuck open. While that would make your car louder, it wouldnt be a hugee difference.

It kinda just sounds like your turbo has fallen away from your manifold. Check all those bolts that connect the manifold to the turbo and make sure they are tight. Also, there is a gasket between the turbo and manifold that will occasionally blow if your bolts get loose.

Im not saying that its not the actuator arm, just adding another possibility.

thanks guysi took my manifold off and found that the studs were gone. not ripped just not there. and no bolts no anything. so the turbo was just hanging there from the exhaust. so i am pretty sure i figured it out. i fixed everything but havent taken it for a drive. thanks again for all of your help
