What happened to great voice dialing...

I had a 2006 M35x and I would hit the voice command button on the steering wheel, say "DIAL name", and it would dial the name and number without error.

I've had my 2009 G37x for almost a year and I have never understood why now I hit the voice command button, it asks for a command on the list, you say "phonebook", it says number or name, you say "name", it says say dial, you say "dial", and it finally dials the phone number under that name name. Very seldom do all the commands work without mistake forcing you to go back and repeat.The current system enables you to do this 2 different ways, but this way works the best??

Now, I know that the 2009s without navagation work like my 2006.

Why did Infiniti screw this up?

Also, why does it not download my iPhone phonebook? My wife's Ford Sync system does.

There is a way to go in there and program in your voice commands so it understands you better. Mine had trouble with my southern accent when I first got it. Now the only time I have troubles is if there are other noises in the car, such a loud rainfall or something like that.

It doesn't let you say "call home or whatever on the phone list"? Did you tag the list?

also I had no issue with my voice. She understands my accent and believe me I have one. LOL

All the phone numbers are voice tagged.

My previous Infiniti had no problems with my voice or tags. This one does about 50% of the time.
