I was just looking at TireRack (dreaming...drooling). When it has me enter my car, it asks me if the car was built before or after June 2010. What did they change? I guess I can look on the door jamb and find out when it was built.

Gee I sure want some rims. :squint:

Wheels. You want wheels. If you ordered just the rims, you'd be disappointed. Anatomy of a wheel: Rim, spokes/hub, barrel.

Yeah...I kinda want the whole thing. :chuckle: I'm thinking about waiting till I need tires and just get the whole package. A guy I work with did that. All balanced and ready to go.

Yeah, I bought some wheels recently with tires on them, but they're too narrow a treadpatch/too stretched (225 on a 10" wheel) and I'll be getting tires soon. Also need to source a fender roller.

What size are you planning on? Surely something better than stock, right? :gapteeth:

I'll be your resident bad influence.

The June 2010 selection is there for some reason because of the Steering Lock issue with the 370Z. Zs made on or after June of 2010 had the revised steering lock assembly.

It's still not immediately obvious to me as to why Tire Rack needs you to provide that information, so maybe someone more enlightened than I can answer.

That first set of Volks with the "squid coming out of a barrel" look are great the others... I'd keep stock wheels instead.

Deep dish is for pizza, not wheels.

These are Z's though! They deserve awesomeness!

What about the 350Z's LMGT4's?

Absolutely love the LMGT4, always have. I used to be solely a fat spoke guy but the Volk CE28N changed me, and after that some BBS wheels grew on me, along with the WorkVS-XX and a handful of stuff from SSR.

Never got into any of the double spoke designs though, they just don't look good to me. And when I was taking about deep dish, I don't think the LM you posted is anywhere near the ridiculosity (I'm channeling Don King and making up my own words) of some of these. It's not just the Import crowd either, the Chrysler 300C in particular seems to wear more than its fair share of some rather ghetto-fabulous wheels. Different strokes I suppose...

And these last two, cute pics, but on a car, uhhhh.... :tisk:

Lol, those are ridiculous VIP wheels. No reason for a dish like that. I feel like the ones I posted have a respectable lip, not over the top though. Maybe a dollar bill wide at the widest.
