what happen to Signal Drifter X

I hope you guys know what i am talking about here, I am talking about the original Drifter X who was driving the Blue Sil-80 S15 from signal auto, the young guy. Does any know what happen to him now??? how come the present Drifter X in signal auto is the older guy?? ( i am not talking about Drifter XL)

* I know that the original Drifter X was fall in to an accident in Japan, Osaka. But Signal auto state that he is ok, what's up with him now?? I don't think an accident will transform him to a older guy, ^-^

SUPPOSEDLY Fumiaki Komatsu was in a bad car accident in Japan. I stress SUPPOSEDLY. I've heard that it may have just been a way for Signal to get rid of Komatsu without looking like a bunch of d icks to the general public.

Atsushi Kuroi is driving for Signal in the US. Hes not driving Komatsus old car, he was driving another Signal 180SX, one that matched Kazuya Bais 180SX, but that car was totalled in Canada. I've heard they are going to rebuild Komatsus 180 for Kurois use in the US, but that cars been in like 5 accidents and it's overall integrity probably isn't all that hot. When hes in Japan, Kuroi drives his (i think it's 800ps) RB26 powered River Side Silvia.
