Well obviously you wouldn't toally remove the perch. just leave enough on the strut for the sleeve to rest on.E7-S14 wrote:

to the OP.. no its not worth welding the sleeveover perch to the strut..think about it..if that weld gives while your driving 70 mph on the freeway and hit a bump..... you'll be lucky to be in a hospital..
