When it comes to premium gas there is 91 and 93 octane in my town. The catch is the 91 is 100% pure gasoline, and the 93 has 10% ethanol. I know if they were both 100% pure gas, the 93 is better, but sence the 93 has ethanol, I am unsure. What do you guys think?

It's not really an issue of performance. Octane is the measure of resistance to detonation. You will see zero HP difference.

93 is better for a boosted car.

It is for a boosted car. So you are saying that even though there is 10% ethanol in the 93, its still better then the 100% gas 91?

Yeah, the 93 is better for boost. But the ethanol ruins our fuel pumps....so get ready to upgrade...if you didnt already.

the Ethanol raises the Octane because E85 is 110 octane

93 +10% Eth. = 95 octane

91 = 91 octane

pure ethanol = 120 octane
