It seems a bit more difficult to get answers on what fits and what doesn't for the Q40. I'm looking for a short ram intake, and recommendations on exhaust.

The Q40 is a renamed G37 Sedan.
You should be able to freely select among G37 products. :)

Yea, but getting anyone to confirm that G37 parts will fit is difficult. Thanks

Topic title changed to reflect subject matter.

If I may offer some friendly advice.

USE THE CORRECT TITLE: That means, make sure your title has the topic at hand. Don't title something: "I have a question" or "Small concern" or "Rogue issues". Instead title it: "Tire tpms question" or "Rear bumper paint issue".

As Palmer said, the G37 was simply rebadged as the Q40. The components are the same.
The Infiniti G sedan was renamed to Q40 for the production period between June 2014 and June 2015. The G/Q40 sedan went largely unchanged for its final year and final production run in 2015.

Yea, as I had mentioned, I wasn't getting confirmation that the G37 parts fit. So, that is why I titled it Q40.

Maybe some of the parts suppliers you are looking at didnt bother to update the fitment guides for their G37 parts to add "Q40" since it was such a short naming run. :gotme

The only differences between the two are relatively minor. The G37's optional Performance Wheel Package, Interior Accent Package and the Sport Package have all been eliminated from the Q40, and a manual transmission is no longer available.

MUFFLER ASSY-EXHAUST,SUB
Known to fit the following:
Infiniti G25
Infiniti G35
Infiniti G37
Infiniti Q40

In short if it fits the G37 it will fit the Q40.

I appreciate the info. That being said, I'm not being sold on a short ram or CAI. Seems the stock is just fine and just put K&N drop ins. Should I just put my money into exhaust?

Your catalytic converters are your biggest restriction. A set of hi flow cats (I think AAM competition carries them for the G37, but I know there are other cheaper options out there too), and then have an UpRev tune done on a dyno which will yield noticeable results.

Also when it comes to exhausts it's always a good idea to drop a line to BRM exhausts, as they will include hi-flow cats with their exhaust for a very reasonable extra.

Actually I was just on their website yesterday and their complete exhaust plus hi-flow cats included is less than just the hi-flows from AAM. Not sure if they have something for the Q40/G37, or not though.

The company owner monitors Nico (BRM is very popular here) and with a little luck he will notice this thread and chime in.
