I have a rogue 2023 SV. I have an LED strip that I am going to install on the hood. I know where to put it, where to ground and route the wires, my problem is, what fuse can I safely tap into in the engine bay fuse box? And is there only 1, or am I missing something, earlier models had 2 boxes, as well as the relay box. I can't see an easy way to go from the cabin accessory fuse to the engine bay, so I need to use one in the engine bay. I thought the left or right headlamp fuse, but that will only operate when the lights are on and I want it to operate independently. I need power when the car is on. Also what amp fuse would i use for the strip in the tap? 10 amp?

How big a fuse you need depends on what the LED's draw. Fire them up and measure it.

The best place to pick up a "run" signal is the fuel pump wire, which is only live when the engine is running. If the strip draws less than an amp, it should be fine to power it direct off the pump supply. If it draws more, use a relay with the pump supply driving the coil.

Here's the IPDM layout for your ride, the FP wire is a White on pin 46. Don't try to use the FP fuse because it's battery power located north of the relay, so the fuse isn't switched:

If you need to add a relay, use a "Bosch Box" type and wire it this way according to the numbered terminals:
30 - Fused battery supply for the LED strip
85 - From fuel pump wire
86 - Ground
87 - To LED strip
87a - Open, unused
