Are you guys learning to tune your FC yourself or taking it to someone professional? I would think to learn yourself you'd need a laptop to log everything as well. I haven't seen alot of places close to where I am that have the ability to tune PFC.

Tuning a stock motor isn't a big deal, but when the power level goes up, one wrong parameter and bad things can happen. Plus to learn to tune PFC yourself I'd think you'd almost have to DD the RB and watch it all the time.

i tune my own cars, wideband o2 and egt gauge are all you need.wideband for fuel tuning, egt for ignition...its not hard to tune the pfc, pretty simple really ive almost got my map done and a few more tweaks and it should be mint

the guys at the shop i go to told me that safc2 is good to control up to 555cc injectors and the the pfc is a very good computer but for the hp #'s im looking for the safc 2 should be fine im only looking for about 300-325 hp and im probly going to keep stock inj. and turbo till they break or it bursts

safc will not control injectors roughly double the size well, and if you change mafs then its gonna be even worse...but up to you man, your choice.

I would not suggest using the SAFC for bigger injectors. I was using it with my 440cc injectors, Z32 MAF, and bigger turbo. I had to take out 30% fuel correction across the board when I had it tuned, which is just ridiculous. If I had the money, I would definently upgrade to a PFC or something else.

my goal is 300 - 325 rwhp. im not going to change the maf or injectors if i dont have too to reach it , and to be honest im probly not going to get a bigger turbo unless i need one either . i really dont know what kind of upgrades i need to reach that goal, ive got a manual boost controller set at 10 psi, a front mount, 3inch turbo back exh. i bought a 3inch cat test pipe today. im going to scrap the m.b.c for an electronic when i go to get this tuning done and i think after its tuned properly i should be able to make 300-325whp. what do you think, is 300 to 325whp possible with this setup y/n? can the stock turbo make those numbers? thanks alot for all the info guys dont get me wrong i want to spring for the pfc i understand that it is the best way to go but im also trying to save for a diff., a koyo rad, body work and paint and i hate to use the word but im on a budget. carl, do you think that the safc would be good to reach my goal considering my budget or should i just save longer and buy the pfc? tahnks again for the help
