Ok guys my fully built sr20 is just abought to go back in my car and the last thing i was thinkin about installing before i put it back in was a flywheel, The car will mostly be dragged, and ocassionally drifted, the motor should be putting down around 500 rwhp, just wandering what would be the best flywheels to go with i Do have the stocker and there is nothing wrong with it, i was thinking about going with the JGY 10.5lb but not sure if it would hurt the car at the track as far as not having enough enertia??.. Can anyone help???

With 500rwhp it doesn't really matter which one you decide to run... I put a Spec Billet in mine before I swapped my motor in... I'll probably run something of the similiar weight...

I was pretty much just wandering if i could run like a 14 or 10 lbs one and still be able to launch on wrinkle walls without it falling on its face from not having enough enertia??

I have the JGY 10.4lbs and I like it. http://www.jgycustoms.com/240sx/clutch.htm

I also have the competition 6pad clutch and it takes 7K clutch drops well.

Flywheel size isnt gonna make a big difference on bogging compared to the type of clutch used and how your engine delivers the power.

This is a touchy subject. Some people I have talked to say the heavier flywheel is best for drag. Some say a lighter flywheel will give you more power making it better. If this is your every day driver car, the 10 lb. flywheel will take away a little drive-ability.

I daily mine with the 10lb and its perfectly fine. Doesnt bog down on launches either. If you worried about bogging down, then get a 2 step to launch off of. You should have one if your gonna drag race anyways.

Sounds good man thanks, the car will deff be launching off a 2 step, i just wasn't sure if a 10lb would matter enough to make it bog.. Thanks agian..
