What fits in place of the clock on the radio bezel?

Hi All,

The new stereo I am getting has the time prominently displayed and the bezel clock I have is fried. So rather than spend $50 on a replacement clock to display the time twice I was wondering what other options to fill this spot are out there or what other Z owners have done? I don't have a TT so a boost display would probably do me no good. Any suggestions or pics of other gauges and such?

Thanks,

Evan

Well being that you have an NA... there aren't many options. Most people do Turbo timers or boost controllers. I did my Tein EDFC controller. Umm if you have an upgraded stereo system... you might be able to fit an EQ module or bass boost controller in there. Convert it into an iPod dock or aux connection??

i really like that idea. currently i have an aux wire coming out my arm rest. it would be nice just to plug my phone into an aux "jack". i will be looking into this. and possibly a combo usb charger/ aux jack.

All the above are good options.

here's some more (all DIY most likely.)

- Post-it note and pen holder for all the bishez numbers you plan on getting in the z.
- collapsible cup holder that pops out
- little coin tray that pops out (you can never have enough coin holders in a car. They always end up in the cup holders. Always.)
- little tray to hold tissues, that also pops out (i like things that pop out.)
- Phone holder/dock...that pops out
- AMOLED Clock (you could go one step further and integrate a small android phone and flush mount it in there so you can essentially have a touchscreen mobile PC alongside your radio. Install a bluetooth speaker system and you can now make hands free calls!)
- Mobile wireless hotspot mount, perhaps?
- jdm squash air freshener tray?
- business card holder (pops out)
- pokemon card holder (pops out)
- wrist watch holder (pops out)
- spare pistol magazine holder?? James Bond status (concealed carry permit a MUST, unless you live the dangerous life of a gangster.)
- tweeters
- lighter holder
- hide away nitrous switch (if you have nitrous.)
- hide away license plate switch (if you for some reason need hideaway license plates)
- little flexible flashlight and switch (POP OUT. jk, makes no sense.)
- Hot wheels mini-z holder (could pop it out but it'll look weird and make no sense.)

Those are my abnormal ideas. hope it helps!

With all these things, You'll need to be pretty clever as to how you make the mechanisms. if you have a 3d printer, you could make something that will attach to the bezel and slide with ease (may have to sand it and paint it after it's printed so it gets that smooth OEM look and feel.)

Thanks guys!

Some great ideas there. I am going to play around a bit and see what I can come up with.
