Since I've had my Versa I've not had a lot of chances to see exactly what I can fit in the hatch with the seats down! One of the questions I've been asking myself is if I bought a bike (with pedals lol) would I need to buy some sort of bike rack for the car or could I actually fit it in the back? I'm talking about one normal sized adult bike, would it fit?

somewhere on nissanversa.org there is an article about the cargo space, and a pics of a V with 4 33" (maybe 35") mounted tires.

a bike might fit without the front tire on.

thanks! I'm kinda hoping it'll fit with the tire on although taking it off and putting it on again isn't any work. I did manage to get a standard sized bike into the back of an old 1998 Saturn SL lol tire still attached!

I have had a set of four 17" wheels and four 17" tires in mine. That's the most I've had in mine.

I took my wife to a six-week school program about two years ago and fit all of her stuff, including her bike, in the back of our hatchback with the seats down without any problem.

My last job ( I work in IT) I always had to make a run to a warehouse to pick up computers and monitors that we were getting ready to ship out to locations. I could fit 14 fully boxed computers or 28 fully boxed 15" LCD monitors. It was kind of impressive. It looked like a clown car when I would get back to the office and unload everything. Boxes just kept coming out to my Director's amazement.

I'm impressed with what you've been able to fit in your Versa's! There I was thinking I'd have to take off the front wheel of a bike to get it in properly. I'm sure the true test as to what I can get in this car will come when it's time for me to go apartment hunting at some point in the future.

I have a Diamondback hybrid bicycle with the large frame size. Often I've put the bike in the back of the hatchback when taking the car in for service, riding the bike home from there and then riding it back to the dealer to pick the car up. With the quick release wheels I take the front tire off just because it's easier. I've never tried to fit the bike in with the front tire on.

For the record I've also transported my dad's rocker/recliner in the back of the Versa with the hatch closed. Two weeks ago I had a 7-foot long dresser with the mirror (not attached) in the car. Took off the passenger side headrest, reclined the seat all the way to lay flat, put down the back seats and slid that baby in there. Very tight fit but it worked.
