what fits 180sx transmission

just got a real 93 180sx and cant find this on the search...I need to know what transmission fits the 180sx! I keep reading about the 240sx but i need to know what other trannys fit a 180sx red top sr motor.

well you can use a KA transmission and swap the sr bell housing, both transmissions are pretty much the same.

or

the obvious, any SR20 transmission will work..

or

you can use a Z32 (300zx) transmission with a custom kit

so if i get a s14 or s15 transmission out of a silvia it will fit? and what modifications will be needed to put the ka transmission inside the sr bellhousing...if anyone has a link to another forum can be helpfull

well if you are looking to get a 6spd s15 trans, I wouldn't do it unless you had the s15 rear diff as well

the bell housings are easy just unbolt the KA bell housing and swap for your sr20 housing,,direct swap

yea take a pic of your 180sx with the gas door open

I'm at work right now and I am pickng the car up after work. Cab someone please post a pic up of what too look for to make sure it's legit.I'm workin off my iPhone here and picking the car up at 3 so please post one up of the gas cap and whatver else makes it a 180!!
