Both exhausts would cover your 400hp goal. I personally think the GT-spec is fugly and it is quite huge but if you want it then go for it, you gotta get waht you want and not what other ppl think or else you might regret not having that stainless exhaust one day. As far as noise goes, not sure about the gt spec but alot of ppl say the N1 is fairly quiet.

I've had N1 dual and topspeed titanium and both were great but the N1 dual sounds better and is quieter at lower Rpms. I love my dual

Save some money, get your local shop too bend up a custom 3", you can even get custom mandrel bends, then top it off with whatever muffler you want.

My crush bent 3" with near straight through 3" muffler with no cats was 250$us.

you could do it but there is a reason why apexi is expensive... they only make the exhaust for 2 cars... I say put out the money and get something for good... N1 all the way!!!

I think the N1 sounds terrible (never heard it on an SR20DET though, just 4g63's and other crap), and it's way overplayed. The N1 Dual isn't as bad, but I'd get the GT Spec if it was me.

HKS Hiper. It's got a nice mellow tone to it. I haven't gotten a fix-it yet and was pulled over twice already. :)

I've got the tanabe racing medallion on my eclipse, (gst) and everyone tells me it sounds dope. It's very deep, no ricer bumblebee sound, angled out, and stainless. the other one I heard was the hks hiper, sounds very nice, (new civic si)

someone posted that they found the N1 being the best exhaust for the silvia though. You might want to look into that. Otherwise, I'd say HKS

Bolted up the Apexi GT Spec yesterday to my 98 S14. This is my first and only mod to my car so far. A turbo for the KA is coming by this summer. The thing sounds good, but is pretty loud without the silencer in. Definitely have to use the silencer here in Albuquerque with their "louder than stock" exhaust laws (3 strikes, they take your car!) I'll post pictures and movie clips with sound in a few days, and if the wind stays down, i'll post a graph of the SPL readings so you can see how loud this thing really is. BTW - I got mine from e3racing.com for $450 shipped!
