I ran a second-hand Fujitsubo and an N1 knock off, the fake N1 sounded better but the Fujitsubo was just different sounding, not at all annoying. These were with a 3" turbo back and stock elbow.

so from what I understand, you buy the exhauts for your car just as you would with the stock engine

and that will fit onto the Rb without having to jack with it?

Just got one for my S14, can't wait to hear it on there. I had a Greddy Power Extream 2 on my S13 and I was great! very quiet more so than my friends GT spec on his S13.

What mounts are you using? This will pick what DP you go with for you... not all mounts will put a motor in the same place.

As far as catback... love my RSR GT2's sound and clean look for a "can" muffler, but I have a 20 and not a 25. The Apex GT-spec sounds very good on the higher displacement RB's (25/26)... looks clean for a large muffler too

Buddy Club Spec II, don't have a clue how it sounds yet though... grrhhh! ?end rant. heh have a high flow cat and stock DP for now, getting the AM Performance after coils though. Probably sound like Carl's... and I swear all the times we've talked man I didn't realize you still had a Buddy Club, really I didn't copy. lol

AM performance scremer pipe, hks 3" downpipe (came with the motorset, yay!) and a Espelir JGT500 exhaust. I love the way it sounds, pretty quiet too. especially to the buddy club spec II's which should just be called strait pipes from now on. that's all they are.

speaking of the spec II, theres one on carl h's car in my sig pic

AM Performance turbo elbow (wastegate dumping), McKinney downpipe, custom flex joint cat delete, and Apexi N1 Evo.

Fired up the engine for the first time last weekend. Much quiter then I suspected. Sounds great through. I suppose I won't really know how it truely sounds till its in running order (intercooler and intake pipes were not on).

I'm starting to hate these threads about exhaust, I'm begining to feel like it has been beat to death. You in all honestly cannot **** up the sound of an RB motor unless you really tried.. It's plain simple, the larger the muffler/higher #'s of them smaller dia piping the quieter it is.. fewer muffs/no muffs, larger dia piping.. the louder it is....

Which is why I started a thread with vids of diff systems on RB's and hope mods will delete/reg comments that are not post with vids that include what type of exhaust is being displayed... you can talk about an exhaust all you want... but hearing what you like is subjective
