I'm using the stock computer. I had a friend socket it and I used live editor to burn a chip setup for my larger injectors and AFM.

It's looking like megasquirt is a good way to go.

Megasquirt, at least that is what I WILL be using. Have the system, wiring, and sensors done, I just lack an EDIS4 sensor mount and missing tooth gear for my pulley.

i dont believe in tuning with the stock ECU unless your running an SR, seems to work well for those guys, i wanted to go back to a standalone after my haltech fiasco, but i went emanage blue to see what was up with it, since it was so inexpensive, i havent really gotten much play time yet, ill keep everyone posted tho for sure

Not trying to be an ***, but I really don't understand posts like these. How can rom tunes on an SR work better than rom tunes on CAs? Both ECU's function on the same basic principles: K value, VQ map, hell even the fuel and timing maps are the same size. Yeah the SR makes more power in general but it's bigger and the overall design is different. It's not a limitation of the factory engine management hardware/software.

I prefer not having to deal with all those cold start valves and junk. My stand alone is wonderfully simple.

they dont use the R+M/2 method like we do. Their 97 is like our 91.
