What engine is this?

Hey, sorry for the n00b question.Do you know what engine this is?It looks like it's turbo?

Is it just me or is the RB20 like the bastard child of the nissan engine lineup? i mean same displacement of an SR yet not as many parts over here. Same number of pistons as say an RB25 or 26 yet they have more displacement and more available parts in the states!? I know people would say that since it has more cylinders it would spool a turbo quicker than the SR! But wouldnt the lack of aftermarket support here turn people away from it and head to either the rb or sr? But i will say this... if the RB20 had just a tad more support in the states i would very much consider getting one myself!

Its not a rb20, jerome is the closest guess so far. If its a nissan engine, its one ive never seen before.

it's definitely not an RB20, the turbo is on the right side and the intake manifold is on the left side.

It's opposite that on the RB or to my knowledge any Nissan turbo engine

Yep, Audi A4 1.8T. They've jus removed the massive stock airbox, and the valve cover trim.
