Yes I was kind of bored... but when I make these lists I usually get around to doing at least 1 of them. These are all things I will do eventually as long as I don't cheat on my baby.

My list of mods and such are:- 1st I need new tires. My speaker box in the trunk tends to wear the rears pretty quickly.

- Re-seal my engine. Its getting kind of annoying.

- Convert to synthetic oil.

- New drilled/slotted rotors. This one I will do in a couple of weeks for sure.

- Coilovers+camber kit. Eibachs just don't cut it. I don't rock-n-roll my car but the vehicle can turn much tighter than it can handle.

- NICO ECU. Probably will do after the rotors. After all I need more brakeable power.

- Black interior. My 93 is black w/tan and that just looks awesome. But I ain't feelin the white w/tan so much. I was looking at a white w/black interior Q the other day and just couldn't get myself to step out of the car.

Whats your list???

If I am blessed with extra cash.

1) In dash navi/dvd/cd/double din touch screen HU

2) Painted 18" rims, same color as car, 5 spoke 1.5" lip

3) Rear passenger entertainment system. This is what I would like to do. Rip the armrest out of the back seats and design something where the back passangers can place an i-touch in the armrest. The purchase portable massage pads and run the controls side by side throw the armrest by the i-touch. Re-leather the back seats with the massage pads under so you wont see them. Run an independent power source from the trunk or go solar with a solar panel on the trunk lid or by speakers in the back window. As part of this upgrade I would purchase a small hard drive and embed it in the seat and run a 13" computer touch screen monitor right in the middle and make it a swivel. I would also run a second hard drive in the from compartment and pair the two like file sharing and run a split screen between the two at a touch of a button. Place two blue tooth mini keyboards on two side boards that slide out from either side of the back seats.

I would also ad back up sensors. Just a thought

I'm not sure the alternator cn handle it. You're going to need to add a tow hitch and a generator to power all the accessories.

this is where the fun begins. I have actually been thinking about this for over 2 years. I have spoken with several people about it. I think I will try this if I can keep a car long enough.

I work with computers everyday and have seen supreme advances in technology and new power sources. Power supplies for said devices have become cooler, smaller and last longer. There is technology out there that would allow for this kind of set up. USB 2 connections, Intel processors, and Touch screen technology can make this an easy upgrade honestly. An independent power source out side the alternator is the only way to go. Something small and in the trunk. Something that can be changed out or charged over night or once a week.

When Bluetooth technology improves this kind of thinking will be great. See for people like us that like our older cars, but don't have the tech integration like new cars, this kind of thinking comes into play. If I had the extra capital, I am more then 100% sure I can develop and highly advance after market infotainment system customizable for almost any car with out one. Materials used to house these systems would be extremely cheap to purchase. Its more about the hardware.

I can think of a million different devices on the market that can be used through one power source and managed my two or even three points of interest.

No can some one please take this bottle out my hands, I can't see my fingers...

So tell me about the dishonest upgrade!

If your car needs an infotainment system, you are not driving it correctly and/or have a lot of deferred maintenance.

I just entertained myself by blowing by a late model MB SL500 this afternoon.

These are just fantastic thoughts running through my head. Nothing I would ever use my daily working capital to toy with. I am so cheap with my entertainment system, that I only use an old I-pod connected to the tape deck.

I want performance, performance, performance! There are next to no engine performance upgrades for the Q45 for obvious reasons. I'm seeing that start to slowly change as more and more people are starting to swap the VH45 into other Nissans.

This engine has tons of potential waiting to be released but sometimes it seems like I'm the only one that thinks this way. Most are content to drive the car and keep it maintained.

I guess I'll have to work on my own stuff as that seems to be the only way to go. I'll be replacing my knock sensors and harness coming up and then I can get to work. Eventually, I plan on going the remote/rear mounted turbo route as qsiguy has done. He and Sijoko are my Q45 heroes!

I personally want to see a supercharged Q in action.

Or even a twin turbo/super charged Q45

I love engine mods, but I am one of those people that are satisfied with the raw power the Q45 puts out. I really don't like driving fast, so I would most likely focus more on suspension upgrades then anything else. Shocks, rubber parts, steering. I would also get the leather redone all the way around. I would also like to have a fresh coat of paint and new front mirror. But, you know in my heart, I am just happy that the thing drives and am more focused on up keep.

I've got to completely agree with that!

I've thought about a rear twin turbo setup using smaller T3 or T3/T4 turbos. The piping for twins starts to get a little crazy under the car but it could probably be done. It would also add some cost to the project but the difference in boost threshold and spool times might be worth it...or maybe not. Qsiguy sees full boost by 3,000 rpm...that's pretty good I'm thinking.

Hmm, done a lot already .......

1) 5 speed transmission would be awesome2) Few add-ons to the stereo system, nothing major and definitely NOT heavy (I want speed!)3) I want to upgrade my methanol injection, higher output pump.4) Clean up some of the existing installation, oil scavenge pump, gauges, wideband O2, ECU emulator, etc. I continue to mess with and tweak stuff so I have wires and harnesses running all over the interior of the car and the trunk...5) And if I win the lottery I'm pulling the engine and doing a complete overhaul/upgrade. Lower compression, forged pistons, etc, etc. Want to build it to handle huge boost.

Twin turbo wouldn't be much more difficult that what I did. You would want to join the compressor tubing in the rear just after the turbos and run one pipe. The exhaust is easy as it's already dual. A little bumper mod to match the dual exhaust if you want it to run out each side. Might be able to put them where the stock resonators are if they are little turbos and then just run both pipes out of the OEM opening. Been tossing around the twin turbo thing for a while myself... The build was fun and very satisfying, when/if budget allows I may want to do that to mine. I think the 5 speed would happen first tho.

5- or 6- speed manual is definitely at the top of my list.

After that, I'd like to get some bodywork done and have it repainted to match original quality.

I'd like to clean up some of the squeaks and rattles inside the car.

And I'd love to find out what the VH will do with an M90 seated on top of it.

Turbo power would be great but the Q is just fast enough for me. I mean it takes off at any speed.

I used to commute at 120 daily but now I dont get a chance to hit that speed.

My Honda used to take forever to hit 120.... that was the fun of it!!! OH BOY OH BOY IM GONNA DO 120 ANY MINUTE NOW!!

120 in the Q is like...oh big whoop... its not like a HONDA where you can FLY

So true...the Q is great at higher speeds. It seems to achieve them pretty effortlessly too.

A fuel rail to work with top mounted injectors that will still fit under the plenum would be nice. Don't know if it's been tried. Works for the Nissan 4-cylinder guys.

You can add a manual transmission to my list as well. Maybe we should work on that one. It seems like there would be interest in it. Maybe a 300ZX gearbox, clutch/flywheel, custom driveshaft would work like the VH-swap guys are using. Just need to figure out the master cylinder and pedal placement. Also what to do with the shifter and console. It would be a shame to chop up the nice wood trim.

I will definitely think about going twin turbo when I start building my turbo setup. I've got some things to accomplish first however...like some new tires and paying for Christmas!

I want.

1. In dash navigation, better and more crisp soundsystem since the oem one is beat up.

2. New suspension preferably lower about 1 inch

3. Built engine with an Impul supercharger to achieve 600+hp with a reliable transmission with drive train including diff, axles, drive shaft and etc.

4. Performance big brake system.

5. The impul or insurance complete bodykit for the car to give it a bolder fatter look.

6. 19" work euroline D rims or any great looking light weight rims with very good rubber.

7. 2000-2001 wood steering wheel with more wooden looking goodies such as ac vents, tcs trim, steering control unit trim, dash trim, door handle trim, and a nice wooden head rest mountable hanger for my suit.

8. New or custom seats that seat lower and a custom fuel tank to make more roomin the trunk to store the dead hookers after im done plus an ac vent to keep the trunk cool.

Estimate 35+ k if i don't do any of the work my self. Worth it??? Yes since a car these days will cost you 30k so improving one which you spent 10k on will bring grand total of $40-45k so in term you drive your dream car for 40k and its reliable. I can work with that!

I'd have bought a '94 last month if the seller wasn't an a-hole redneck.
