Can you use the distributor off the E or is it only the DE S13 distributor that uses a external coil and fits the S14? My car must be pretty poorly tuned then....I'm running 9 psi and have no traction problems whatsoever in any gear except first....maybe it's the wide, sticky 245 tires out back.Structure240sx wrote:once you get over 10psi with a good tune traction is a joke unless you run drag radials. at 13psi i could never go past 75% throttle in any gear without the rear coming out.

No, the drive mechanism is totally different from the SOHC S13 than the DOHC S13. Only the DOHC s13 dist will work on the s14. However, it is a little harder to get timing marks to on the dist. shaft and it takes a couple of tries to get it on the right tooth, but its simple after you do it 20times like i have now. As for my turbo... Only extra in there right now is a Aremotive FPR and colder plugs...
