Ok im just about done with my sr swap and, due to some complications with the people who were supposed to send my ECU with the engine, im having to buy a ECU seperate. However im not sure which ECU to get... Im putting in a Redtop and not sure if i should use the #62, #63, or if i can use an S14 ECU. Anyone know which one to use and the differences of each?

the #62 Ecu is the desirable 5spd redtop ecu, the #63 is the redtop auto ecu, it will work but at a minimum throw a code 54 all the time (auto control).. ive heard of people saying it causes bad running when cold but i doubt theres any truth to it.

The auto shouldnt throw codes, runs fine at startup. The only issue is a higher idle while the car is moving.

You can also use the E5 Blacktop ECU. Thats what I have on my redtop and havnt had a problem.
