My birthday is coming up and I want to get a new nice double din stereo for my V. I was wondering if anyone knows a particular one that looks and sounds great in a versa. I wanted a sony but they only make one double din and i dont really like the style of it. Any suggestions?

avoid anything with the names DUAL, EXONIC, PYLE, fARENHEIT, BOSS, or any other cheap P.O.S. like that. Horrible equipment. Clarion, Kenwood, pioneer, JVC

ive had a pioneer touch screen for about 2 years now and its been great, no issues.

just make sure to hook up a bypass switch so you can still play dvd's while in motion.

I put a Clarion in the wife's Saturn and now have a Pioneer GPS deck in my Versa. Both great units. Not a fan of brands like Dual, Sony, JVC, etc. They are all about flash and not quality when it comes to car decks. Clarion has a double-din with USB, AUX, and built-in bluetooth that would look factory in the Versa down to even being able to change the backlighting to orange to match the rest of the interior lights. My Pioneer does this, too.

If you want a simple yet comprehensive double din that looks very subtle and integrated check out Panasonic CQ-5800U. I'm very pleased with mine.

Cannot beat the features packed into this pioneer http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PUSA/ ... VH-P3200BT.

Pioneer has the highest rated units. They have really stepped up in car entertainment. That is their main focus now. Have a friend that works for them. Getting mine for $370

Their stage 4 head units are crazy!

I picked up a refurbished Eclipse AVN5500 for $290. There's a guy on Ebay that sells a variety of models and it looks new and comes with the newest navigation dvd. I had an issue with my GPS syncing up, but it turned out to be an install error and the ebay guy was extremely helpful.

What's your price range?

DD from what car? Some have Rockford Fosgate systems, some have Bose, etc. It depends on the car and model.

Oh ok. I did not want to really know which specific car. But, looks like there is a variety. Those are some good brands for sure. Bet someone could snag one off eBay cheaper than an aftermarket.
