expect to see high 13's on a damn good run

low 14's for an amature

but at the end of the day it's about the fun you had, and even if there is a 12 sec honda that woops your a**, at least you know yours sounds better!!!!

i run a 13.7 with a stock rb20 in a s13, so i would think a rb25 s14 would be able to run a mid to low 13

for the most part mine is a stock rb25 just full downpipe back running at 10psi and no air filter ran a 13.4 at 106 only ran 2 times that night first was 14.1 at 109. i was told that night that the track was realy realy bad to they had scraped all the rubber off the track from the previous year so it was bare asphalt.

down pipe with divorced waste gate, full exhaust no cat plus resonator, intake. 10 psi

2 runs = 15 flat. my last run 14.9 18 inch wheels and i chocked a little!

and i have a bigger body than a s14

Mickey Thomson Drag slicks on a stock RB20, a local guy ran a 13.1. Never go to the track looking for the best results on street tires, its a waste of time.

You need to learn how to launch the car if you're running anything slower Than a 13.5. There's no reason you should run that slow with a 25. //No offense to anyone here//

I just cant imagine why you'd run ANYTHING but slicks at a drag strip. Also putting on stock rear suspension and removing you stock front sway bar helps you get out of the hole better.

ran 13.2@108 stock motor, on street tires, no lsd, 12psi, 90octane gas

i run mine w/o slicks because i like to see how my dd setup goes vs peoples "track setups"

once everything gets sorted out with my new setup... hunting for mid 11s... and hoping to get banned from the track (11.5 or faster w no cage)

it was kinda too easy. without proper tires or an lsd no matter how i launched it i would always get 2.0 on the 60ft. i figure lsd and a better tires on that setup would easily be 12s so im thinking 11s shouldnt be out of the question on my new setup

what size rear tires are you running?

Also what RPM are you launching at?

Got any dyno sheets of your setup?

me?

the rear tires were 205/50/15s on that setup.

got new wheels and tires this year though, going to be using a set of bfg drag rads 275/50/17 (i think, i dont remember 100%, but i know they are 275 r17)

i dont remember exactly where i was launching at but i did quite a few passes and i think 3.5k-5.5k yielded the same 60's even though they felt different coming out of the hole. i think i was doing mostly 5k launches

oh and heres my dyno sheet of that setup

Yeah thats a good question....Well they get half a year of good weather or something like that right?

Life in Alaska must weird, i dunno If I could sleep with the sun up regularly.

Running 266whp, he's definetly not running a stock sidemount.

I guess the Alaska part solves that mystery.

I am still wondering how you got a 13.2 on 205's

You either have some damn sticky tires, or an AMAZING driver.

I broke my 245 Soft compound Kuhmo's free with my KA

FMICblitz ebc (12psi)Apex Power FC - had to get it tuned... the basemap dynoed only 185whp!

i wouldnt say im an amazing driver... i only managed 2.0 60 fts. i pretty much launch as toad describes... just slip it a lil til i get the feel that i can dump it. toads times and motor impresses me... its like a freak of nature... 12.2 and 312 out the box.... thats amazing! ill be happy to pull 1.8 60s. im sure ill do better with my bfg drag rads and the vlsd i got (still needs to be installed)

as for the Alaska questions LOLumm we get like 5 months of AWESOME weather sun up for over 14hrs a day. its really what keeps me here are the summers. winters are kinda depressing... but it gives me build time and time for snowboarding.

I have a 89 Coupe with rb20, last trip to the track ran a 13.90 at 98mph with a 2.09 60ft.

Car is Stock RB with stock charger, no dyno results, I'm running a N62 maf with SAFC based out and Stock Tear drops on the rear with a VLSD. Boost was at 11psi and it felt like it was running out of breath

yeah everyone agreed with that "freak" diagnosis when i started layin down times...the tires are what make the drag car...you just have to find the right tire pressure and suspension setup...speaking of which i found out today that HKS has discontinued the hipermax drag coils...im not happy about this at all...does anyone know another company that sells a similar set up? i just saved 5gs to buy 2 sets...

I ran a best of 13.4 last month at the track with shi**y 2.2-2.4 60ft times. Came back home and realized that I had 5 broken exhaust manifold studs. Able to fix all but one which is on runner 6(the leak was on runner 1...so its fixed) I was running 12lbs without my safc and 3" exhaust,no cat,17x9 mustang wheels(heavy) with 245's up front and 255's in the back, fmic, atmos bov, freddy intake manifold and q45 throttle body.

I put the afc on and fixed the exhaust manifold studs and she pulls much harder. I think I could run a 12.9 with stock suspension and 14lbs. I just got some subframe collars as well. Launching at anything over 2K she wouls spin and have sever wheel hop..
