mine idle's around 1400rpm, but I have my idle turned way up. I'm probably gonna bump it down to about 1000.

When cold it idles at 1200, and when its warmed up it idles at 800. And thats off my safc-2 so its pretty accurate. :)

idles at 1500 Trying to bring it down but it's not working Just as a ninja does anyone happen to have the Air Idle Adjustment Box that bolts to the intake manifold? I need to get a new one I think cause mine idles badly and is non adjustable. I've tried messing with the screw and it hasn't done anything Chris

for the screw to work you have to be in timing mode. otherwise the ecu will compensate for the extra/less air you are putting in via the screw adjustment. hence no change...

How do I get in el timing mode? Does it have anything to do with disconecting the TPS? Thanks Chris

it sure does. it should be in the fsm.

IIRC, you need to have the engine at running temp then rev the motor 3x past 3k then unplug the tps then set timing.

At least that is for the fw SRs, i can't imagine that it is any different. check this site for a more detailed description --- http://www.b15sentra.net/modul...=3#22

look for the how to on ignition timing base advance. the how to includes how to get into timing mode and tells you about the how to set base idle. also the instruction is slightly different from what the FSM will tell you, but it works. For my G20 this was the only way i managed to get into timing mode.
