what does the stock turbo flange look like?

basically i want to know whether or not i can bolt my t3/t04e onto the stock turbo manifold on the sr20. goals would be about 300whp. what about downpipe issues?

nope. The the CA and SR have a T25 type flange, it's rectangular but smaller. You can have a T3 flange welded onto the manifold to mount the turbo.

which would be cheaper? getting another manifold or getting it welded?

Turbonetics sells the T3 flange for I think $30.00 and whatever a muffler shop would charge you to weld in onto your manifold. It's cheaper than a new manifold.

what about the downpipe? stock downpipe still fit?

it should but the outlet of the turbo you use will determine that.

the T04E housing won't clear on a bottom mount config anyway, will it??????

well the HKS kit top mounts the T04E so you could be right.

hrmm... good point.. what would be the most affordable way to get around 300whp.. i figure i had this spare turbo lying around.. maybe just by getting a manifold would be a good route, but i don't want to have to make a downpipe for it.

You could buy the hotshot header enjuku sells. It's top mount and set for external wastegate, and comes with the DP and dump tube. Not the most affordable route, but if you're set on using that turbo...
